My name is Adam Ortlieb and I am a proven B2B product marketing professional. I have an MBA and more than 15 years of experience delivering profitable new business, working with startups and global leaders in SaaS, hardware, and consulting. My customers, colleagues, and partners will tell you I am a savvy, proactive, strategic thinker and team-builder with exceptional communications skills.

I have successfully implemented new GTM strategies, meeting and exceeding aggressive business targets. My recipe is straightforward: start with the right segmentation, develop accurate buyer personas, map product features to specific buyer pain points, understand competitive positioning, and determine the optimal path to market.

Armed with the right strategy, I deliver compelling content and unleash it in integrated campaigns that create awareness, advance the buyer’s journey, and secure recurring revenue. I relish doing this with a purpose-driven team but I’ve rolled up my sleeves in startups as well.

In a direct sales model, I engage very comfortably and in close alignment with the sales team. To support a channel model, I have negotiated contracts with Ingram Micro, Arrow Electronics, and others, including international partners. I built a flourishing channel program from scratch and operated as a reseller.

As a manager, I believe it is critical to:

  • Set clear objectives

  • Utilize stretch goals that facilitate individual growth within a team framework

  • Maintain open communication

  • Remove blockers when appropriate

  • Celebrate wins
